THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A. RAJASHEKER REDDY WRIT PETITION No.23516 OF 2016 ORDER:

The case of the petitioners is that they are the owners and possessors of the lands to an extent of Ac.1.50 cents in Survey No.286/2B, Acs.2.14 cents in Survey No.286/P and Acs.1.46 cents in Survey Nos.289/2 respectively situated at Akilavalasa Village, Rapur Mandal, SPSR Nellore District, and they were issued pattadar passbooks and title deeds in respect of the said lands. They state that the Government acquired the said lands for the purpose of expansion of Somasila-Swarnamukhi Canal under Somasila Project, however, no amount of compensation was paid to the petitioners. Therefore, they got issued notice dated 30.06.2016 to the respondent authorities calling upon them to take necessary action for payment of compensation. The grievance of the petitioners is that in spite of receiving notice dated 30.06.2016, the respondent authorities are not taking any action with regard to payment of compenstation. Hence, this Writ Petition.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioners, learned Government Pleader for Irrigation appearing for respondent No.1 and learned Government Pleader for Land Acquisition appearing for respondents 2 to 4.

In view of the facts and circumstances of the case, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the 3rd respondent to pass appropriate orders in accordance with law in terms of notice dated 30.06.2016 got issued by the petitioners to the respondent authorities within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.

As a sequel, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this

Writ Petition shall stand closed.
