THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO WRIT PETITION No.24003 OF 2005 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking to issue an order or direction more particularly, in the nature of writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to organise the various posts under the control of respondent No.1's Society into local cadres as per para No.3 of the A.P.Public Employment (Organisation of Local Cadres and Regulation of Direct Recruitment) Order, 1975 in consonance with Article 371-D of the Constitution of India and till such time, to direct the respondents not to make any transfers and post the non-teaching staff by declaring the guidelines issued by respondent No.1 vide proceedings in Rc.No.8373/A2-1/2005, dated 20.10.2005, as illegal and arbitrary.

In the impugned proceedings, guidelines were issued for transfer of the staff of the A.P. Residential Educational Institutions Society. Today, when the matter is called, it is brought to the notice of this Court by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner has already retired from service. 3.

Recording the same, this Court is of the view that nothing survives for adjudication in this writ petition and hence, the Writ Petition is liable to be dismissed as infructuous. 4.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous Petitions pending, if any, in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
