This writ petition is filed seeking to issue a writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the 1st respondent in requiring the petitioner to obtain a fresh social status certificate, by reopening the concluded enquiries about the petitioner's social status, as illegal and arbitrary and consequently, to set aside the notice dated 30.3.2005. 2.

Heard Sri D.V. Nagarjuna Babu, learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for Social Welfare. 3.

When this matter has been taken up for hearing, it has been brought to the notice of this Court by the learned Counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner has retired from service in April, 2012 and the cause in the present writ petition does not survive.

Recording the above submission, the Writ Petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
