The grievance of the petitioner in the present writ petition is non-filing of report/charge sheet in Cr.No.361 of 2018 of Chaitanyapuri Police Station. 2.

A counter affidavit deposed by the Assistant Commissioner of Police, L.B.Nagar Division, Rachakonda Commissionerate is filed, wherein it is stated that the investigation is pending in the matter for want of apprehension of A2-Smt.J.Jhansi Rani who is the wife of A1 and also pending for want of FSL report. It is further stated that a special team was also constituted headed by the Sub-Inspector of Police and Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police for apprehension of A2 and as soon as the report from the FSL authorities is received, appropriate report under Section 173 Cr.P.C. will be filed before the Court concerned as expeditiously as possible. It is also stated that the Deponent issued instructions to the Investigation Officer (Detective Inspector of Police, Chaitanyapuri Police Station) to expedite the investigation into the matter and file appropriate final report under Section 173 Cr.P.C. 3.

Having regard to the contents of the counter affidavit, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose of the writ petition by placing on record the above said averments with a further direction to the Respondent Police to expedite the investigation and to file final report as expeditiously as possible, strictly in accordance with law.

The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. As a sequel, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
