THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO WRIT PETITION No.38435 of 2016 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed seeking to call for records in Crime No.569 of 2015 and to quash the same.

Heard and perused the material available on record. The main grievance of the petitioner is that the 3rd respondent lodged a complaint with the 2nd respondent against the petitioner alleging that the marriage of 4th respondent and the petitioner was performed on 01.12.2010 and at the time of marriage, cash of Rs.7,00,000/- and some gold items and household articles worth Rs.3,50,000/- were given to the petitioner and that the petitioner is demanding for additional dowry. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the allegations made against the petitioner are false and baseless and no offence is committed as alleged in the complaint.

Considering the grievance of the petitioner, the 2nd respondent is directed to complete the investigation in Crime No.569 of 2015, as expeditiously as possible and file a final report, if any, either way in accordance with law, without arresting the petitioner.
