HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE T. VINOD KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.28591 of 2019 ORDER:
This writ petition is filed aggrieved by the proceedings No.HN/A2/Arms/6694/2018-19, dt. 11.2019 issued by respondent No.2 in rejecting the request of the petitioner for renewal of his Arms Licence, as arbitrary and illegal. Heard Sri Mohd. Moin Ahmed Quadri, learned counsel for the petitioner, and the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home appearing for the respondents. From a perusal of impugned order dt. 11.2019 passed by respondent No.2, it is evident that before passing the impugned order, the petitioner was issued a Show Cause Notice dt.11.03.2019, to which the petitioner has submitted his explanation on 04.09.2019 and after considering the said explanation only, respondent No.2 has passed the impugned order dt. 11.
2019, whereby the said authority had opined that there is no genuine reason/requirement to continue the Arms Licence of the petitioner for his self-protection. Since the impugned order dt. 11.2019 passed by respondent No.
TVK,J W.P.No.28591 of 2019 view that no interference is required by this Court in the matter exercising jurisdiction under Article 226 of the Constitution of India.
Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed, leaving it open for the petitioner to avail alternative remedy by filing appeal against the impugned order dt. .11.2019 passed by respondent No.2. No order as to costs.
Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
