HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO CRIMINAL PETITION No.5277 of 2015 ORDER:
This criminal petition, under section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, is filed by the petitioner-Accused No.1 seeking grant of anticipatory bail in connection with crime No.168 of 2015 on the file of Tadipatri Town Police Station, Tadipatri, Anantapur District, registered for the offences under Sections 498-A, 494, 506 and 307 read with 34 IPC and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. The allegations against the petitioner are that he along with other accused harassed the de facto complainant for demand of additional dowry and the petitioner also married another lady with the connivance of his parents and the accused attempted to commit murder of the de facto complainant.
Heard and perused the material available on record. The allegations against the petitioner are serious in nature. The petitioner not only married another girl, but also attempted to commit murder of the de facto complainant. The de facto complainant filed the second marriage certificate of the petitioner before the investigating agency.
In the above circumstances, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
