RADHAKRISHNAN AND THE HON' BLE SRI JUSTICE GUDISEVA SHYAM PRASAD Contempt Appeal No.24 of 2018 Judgment: (per the Hon'ble the Chief Justice Sri Thottathil B. Radhakrishnan) Following the earlier order, the steps taken for payment of pension and release of Death-Cum-Retirement Gratuity (DCRG), computed value of pension and other payables on account of the retirement of the 1st respondent-writ petitioner are placed before us through proceedings dated 24.7.2018. It is issued from the Office of the Principal Accountant General (A&E), Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Hyderabad.

We record the submission of the learned counsel for the 1st respondent-writ petitioner as well that it is not necessary to further prosecute the appeal under the provisions of the Contempt of Courts Act. We also see that the compliance of the directions in the order on the Writ Petition leads to discharge of the contempt. 3.

Hence, this Contempt Appeal is allowed holding that the notice of contempt stands discharged by performance of the appellant. The impugned order imposing penalty is vacated.

Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed. No order as to costs.
