THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE V. RAMASUBRAMANIAN AND THE HON'BLE MRS JUSTICE ANIS WRIT PETITION No.24991 of 2016 Between:

PETITIONERS And

1. Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad, rep. by its Registrar, and others. RESPONSENTS

THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE V. RAMASUBRAMANIAN AND THE HON'BLE MRS JUSTICE ANIS WRIT PETITION No.24991 of 2016 ORDER: (Per Hon'ble Sri Justice V. Ramasubramanian) The petitioners came up with the above writ petition challenging the disaffiliation of B.Tech-CSE and B.TechMechanical courses for the current academic year. During the pendency of the writ petition, the university took an affidavit of undertaking and granted affiliation for B.Tech-Mechanical with the reduced intake. Insofar as B.Tech-CSE is concerned, we passed an interim order on 28.07.2016. It appears that by the time the direction was communicated, the counseling was already over. The result is that the benefit granted by the university for admission into B.Tech-Mechanical course, on the basis of the affidavit of undertaking furnished to the university, alone would survive.

Therefore, the writ petition is disposed of directing the university to grant affiliation for B.Tech-Mechanical as per the provisional affiliation already granted. No order as to costs. As a sequel, pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
