Heard the learned counsel for petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for Home (TS) for respondents. 2.

This writ petition was filed challenging the action of the respondents in registering Crime Nos.305/2011, 440/2011, 99/2012 and 115/2012 against the members of the petitioner club, though they have been conducting lawful activities in the club premises. As a consequential relief, a direction is also sought to the respondents not to interfere with the lawful activities of the petitioner club under the surveillance of CC cameras, digital video recorders arranged by the management of the club by ensuring the presence of Advocate Commissioner appointed in O.S.No.309 of 2004 on the file of III Senior Civil Judge, City Civil Court, Secunderabad.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that as per the policy of new Government, clubs are not being permitted to play the game of rummy in their premises, and in view of the same, rummy is not being played in the premises of the petitioner club. He further submits that in respect of other activities of the petitioner club, there is no interference as of now.

In the circumstances, in respect of crimes alleged to have registered against the petitioner club, it is for the investigating officers to investigate those crimes and this Court cannot, in the absence of any evidence, hold that the registration of crimes is bad in law. Hence, the writ petition is dismissed. No order as to costs. Miscellaneous Petitions, if any pending, shall stand closed. ______________________________ A.RAMALINGESWARA RAO, J Date: 29.02.2016
