THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A. RAMALINGESWARA RAO WRIT PETITION No.27947 of 2013 ORDER:

Heard the learned counsel for petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel for respondents.

This Writ Petition was filed challenging the action of the second respondent in rejecting the application of the petitioner for counselling of MBBS/BDS courses for the academic year 20132014 under sports quota.

3. This Court, by order dated 21.07.2014, passed the following order:

" Notice.

In the meanwhile, the petitioner shall be permitted to participate in the counselling process for selection for admission into M.B.B.S course against one of the seats reserved for meritorious sports persons, as the petitioner appears to have participated in the 31st National Senior Taekwondo Championships, 2012, held at Patna, Bihar. Her selection, be treated as provisional for the present." 4.

It is submitted by the learned Standing Counsel for the respondents that pursuant to the said interim direction, the petitioner appeared for counselling and she was allotted a seat under sports quota in Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Adilabad.

5. In that view of the matter, nothing survives in the present Writ Petition and is accordingly dismissed as infructuous. No order as to costs. Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
