This writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner on 27.12.2019 against the proceedings No.108/GPB/2018-19, dated 31.01.2019, issued by the 4th respondent.

Heard Sri A.Jagan, learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Government Pleader for Panchayat Raj appearing for respondents 1 and 3 and Sri G.Narender Reddy, learned standing counsel for the Gram Panchayat, appearing for respondent 4.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, being aggrieved by the proceedings No.108/GPB/2018-19, dated 31.01.2019, issued by the 4th respondent, in favour of the 5th respondent, granting permission for construction of a new house, the petitioner has filed an appeal before the 2nd respondent, on 27.12.2019, as provided under Section 121 of the Telangana Panchayat Raj Act, 2018 (for short, 'the Act'), and that the said appeal is pending consideration.

Having regard to the fact that the petitioner has availed the statutory remedy of appeal before the 2nd respondent in accordance with the provisions of the Act, this Court is of view that this writ petition can be disposed of with a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider and dispose of the appeal stated to have been filed by the petitioner, within a time frame.

Hence, the 2nd respondent is hereby directed to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner, if the same is in order, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.
Subject to the above observation, the writ petition is disposed of. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed in the light of this final order. No order as to costs.
