Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Adhi Venkateshwar Rao, learned Standing Counsel for the respondent.

It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner is entitled for benefits under G.O.Rt.No.715, dated 02.09.2013 and G.O.Ms.No.14, dated 20.02.2010 for awarding of AGP under career advancement scheme and that though he made an application on 15.03.2014 for grant of same, the same is not considered so far. Aggrieved by the same, present writ petition is filed.

Sri Adhi Venkatesswar Rao, learned Standing Counsel for the respondent vehemently opposed granting of interim order and submits that the petitioner is not in teaching field, as such, the G.Os referred to above are not applicable to the petitioner and seeks time for filing counter. Since the application of the petitioner dated 15.03.2014 is stated to be pending before the competent authority and it is for the competent authority to decide the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the competent authority is directed to dispose of the application of the petitioner and take action in accordance with law and the

Rules in force, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
