V.Laxmana Rao v. The Life Insurance Corporation Of India Ltd.,
HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI WRIT PETITION No.24759 of 2001 ORDER:
This Writ Petition is filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus declaring the inaction of respondent - LIC Corporation, in considering petitioner's representation dated 15.11.2001 for reengagement as a sweeper, as illegal and arbitrary. A consequential direction is sought to the respondent - LIC Corporation to consider the petitioner's representation for re-engagement as a fresh candidate.
Heard Sri A.Sri Ganesh, learned Counsel for the petitioner, and Sri Battula Raj Kiran, learned Standing Counsel for the respondent - LIC Corporation.
It is contended by the learned counsel for the petitioner that though the petitioner submitted representation on 15.11.2001 for re-engagement as a sweeper but the respondent - LIC Corporation has not considered the said representation till date.
Ends of justice would be met if the respondent - LIC Corporation is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 15.11.2001 for re-engagement as a sweeper, and pass appropriate orders, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
With the above observation, the Writ Petition is disposed of. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending, shall stand closed. No costs.
