THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE P. NAVEEN RAO WRIT PETITION No.13919 OF 2011 ORDER:

This Writ Petition is filed for the following relief: "... to issue an appropriate Writ, Order or direction, preferably one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus, declaring the action of the respondents in not considering the case of the petitioner for the selection process to be held on 07.05.2011 or on any subsequent date for the post of Temporary Attender in Syndicate Bank under the control and jurisdiction of the 1st respondent, as illegal, arbitrary and contrary to law and consequently direct the respondents herein to consider the cases of the petitioner for the Selection Process for the post of Temporary Attender to be held on 7th May, 2011 or on any subsequent date without insisting upon that their names should be sponsored by the 2nd respondent and appoint the petitioner in the said post and pass such other or further orders as are necessary."

When the matter is taken up for consideration, learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that pursuant to the interim order, dated 04.05.2011, passed by this Court, petitioner participated in the selections conducted by the 1st respondent - Bank.

As seen from the above extract, the prayer is only for consideration of the case of the petitioner for selection process to the post of temporary Attender.

Since learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was subjected to selection process, the cause in the

Writ Petition does not survive for adjudication and the same has become infructuous.

Recording the said submission, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
