CVNR, J & GSP, J WP.No.25410 of 2018 Dt: 24.07.2018 Order: (Per the Hon'ble Sri Justice C.V.Nagarjuna Reddy) This Writ Petition is filed for the following substantive relief: "to issue an order, writ or direction more particularly in the nature of writ of Habeas Corpus declaring the action of the respondent police in detaining the detenu without registering any crime and without filing any FIR against the Detenu though he is not involved in any offence and no crime has been registered as illegal, arbitrary, unjust without jurisdiction and unconstitutional and consequently, direct respondents police to produce the detenue Mullaputi Raju, S/o.Venkateswara Rao, aged 37 years, running Fancy Store at Eluru, West Godavari District, before this Honorable Court and proceed in accordance with law." At the hearing, Mr.N.Aswarthanarayana, learned Counsel representing Mr.P.Narahari Babu, learned Counsel for the petitioner, submitted that as the alleged detenu has been set free by the Police, the cause in the Writ Petition does not survive for adjudication.
The Writ Petition is, accordingly, dismissed as infructuous. As a sequel to dismissal of the Writ Petition, IA.No.1 of 2018, filed by the petitioner for interim relief, is disposed of as infructuous.
