THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE T. VINOD KUMAR Writ Petition No.28916 of 2019 ORDER:

The present writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to declare the action of the 4th respondent-Station House Officer, Osmania University Police Station, in not registering the case on the basis of the complaint made by the petitioner dated 21.10.2019 sent by the registered post on 23.12.2019, as being illegal and arbitrary.

None appears for the petitioner and heard the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home appearing for the official respondents1 to 4.

The learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, on written instructions dated 02.01.2020, submits that based on the complaint made by the petitioner though dated 21.10.2019, sent under registered post on 23.12.2019, the 4th respondent has registered a case in Crime No.1 of 2020 of Osmania University Police Station on 02.01.2020. Since a case is already registered and is pending investigation before the 4th respondent, the grievance of the petitioner in the present writ petition stands redressed and no further orders are required to be passed in this writ petition. Accordingly, the writ petition is closed. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
