ORDER
In spite of the matter being listed under the caption "for dismissal", none appears for the petitioners. This writ petition is filed seeking the following relief: "..to issue an appropriate writ, order or direction particularly one in the nature of writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not issuing the appointment orders appointing the petitioners as Helpers, Grinders, Riggers, Driver, Cleaners, Sweepers, Woman Mazdoors, Accountant basing on the qualifications and experience possessed by the petitioners and the acts of the respondents in not taking any action on the representation submitted by the petitioners as arbitrary, illegal and violative of Articles 14, 16 and 21 of the Constitution of India and consequently direct the respondents to issue the appointment orders to the petitioners as Helpers, Grinders, Riggers, Drivers, Cleaners, Sweepers, Woman Mazdoors and Accountants and pass such other order or orders."
The grievance of the petitioners is that though they were appointed and working on contract basis in the respondentCorporation for more than a decade, the respondents have not considered their cases for being appointed on regular basis. They have submitted representations on 16.11.2000, 22.11.2000 and 30.11.2000, but no orders have been passed so far. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is of the considered view that ends of justice
would be met if a direction is given to the petitioners to submit a representation afresh.
Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the petitioners to submit a representation afresh to the respondents within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of such representation, the respondents shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders within a period of four weeks thereafter. No costs.
Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
