THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE P. NAVEEN RAO WRIT PETITION No.25524 OF 2018 ORDER:

Petitioner is working as a Teacher in the Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutional Society. According to the petitioner, she is in advanced stage of pregnancy and expecting delivery of the child in August, 2018. After the doctor advised her to take complete bed rest, she applied for grant of maternity leave on 11.07.2018. Alleging inaction on the application filed on 11.07.2018, this writ petition is filed.

Learned Standing Counsel appearing for respondent Nos.2 to 4, on instructions, submits that within 10 days, appropriate orders will be issued on consideration of the application filed by the petitioner on 11.07.2018.

In view of the said submission, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the Secretary, Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutional Society, to pass orders on the application filed by the petitioner on 11.07.2018, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of two weeks from today. No order as to costs. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions, if any pending, shall stand closed.
