The complaint of the petitioners in this case was that the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Kurnool District, the 2nd respondent herein, did not transfer the investigation in CRF.No.2879 of 2011 referred by the Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Nandyal, from the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Nandyal, Kurnool District, to any other Deputy Superintendent of Police/higher police officer, pursuant to their representation dated 19.04.2011.

Basing on the written instructions dated 01.06.2011 furnished by the Station House Officer, Panyam Police Station, Kurnool District, the learned Assistant Government Pleader informed this Court that the petitioners' private complaint which was forwarded by the learned Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Nandyal, was registered as Crime No.63 of 2011 under Section 307 I.P.C. and investigation had

been taken up. However, upon the request made by the petitioners for transfer of the investigation, the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Kurnool Range, under Memorandum No.130/Cr.I/DCRB/2011 dated 19.05.2011, transferred the investigation in the said crime to the Assistant Superintendent of Police, Adoni. In the light of the afore-stated developments, it is clear that the grievance of the petitioners stood redressed in the year 2011 itself and no further orders are required to be passed in this writ petition.

The writ petition is accordingly closed.

Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand closed. No order as to costs.
