ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking the following relief: "...to issue any appropriate Writ, Order or direction more in the nature of Writ of Mandamus directing the Respondents 2 to 5 to consider the representation dated 10-03-2010 filed by the petitioner for seeking appointment as Village Servant on compassionate grounds as per Rule 8 (3) of A.P Village Servants Service Rules, 2005 by duly declaring the action of the respondents in not considering his application dated 10-03-2010 is nothing but arbitrary, illegal and contrary to true intent of the A.P Village Servants Service Rules 2008 and pass such further or other orders as the Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case." Heard Sri V.Ravi Kiran Rao, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader for Services-II appearing for the respondents.

It is the case of the petitioner that while working as Village Servant, his father died on 20-10-2009. Thereafter, he submitted a representation dated 10-03-2010 to the respondents seeking appointment on compassionate grounds. But, the respondents have neither considered the case of the petitioner nor passed orders on the said representation. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that the respondents be directed to consider the

representation dated 10-03-2010 submitted by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders.

Learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits that the respondents would consider the representation dated 10-03-2010 submitted by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders thereon.

Having considered the rival submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Writ Petition can be disposed of directing the respondents to consider the representation dated 10-03-2010 submitted by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders thereon, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
