Heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Government Pleader for the respondents.

The prayer sought in the writ petition is as under: "...the Hon'ble High Court may be pleased to issue an order, direction more particularly one in the nature of writ of Mandamus direct in the Respondents to submit necessary Submissions immediately for giving Remission (Cancellation) of Remaining Sentence of Life Imprisonment to the Petitioner, and to pass any further and other Orders as may be deemed just, Consistent and Expedient Under the Circumstances." 3.
During the course of hearing, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner informs the Court that the petitioner has already been released and no further orders are required in the writ petition. Recording the same, the writ petition is closed. As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, pending, if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
