Petitioner aggrieved by the levy and demand of development charges for restoration of power supply under Sick Unit Revival Scheme and also levy of interest made through communication dated 12.11.2016 has filed the instant writ petition. 2.

Petitioner, on 01.11.2016, represented to first respondent on the totality of circumstances and requested for appropriate relief. 3.

Mr. Vinod Reddy, appearing for respondents, submits that the first respondent can be directed to examine the request of petitioner as per the policy and a decision is taken within reasonable period and the petitioner may be put to reasonable condition of depositing at least half (1⁄2 ) of the development charges.

I have taken note of the submissions and also perused the material available on record. Petitioner is directed to deposit one-third (1/ 3rd) of Rs.45,600/ - within one week from today and resubmit the representation dated 01.11.2016 to first respondent by enclosing copy of the payment in this behalf and the first respondent is directed to pass orders within four (4) weeks thereafter. Till a decision is taken, on account of non-payment of development charges, the power supply to petitioner is not disconnected.

The writ petition is disposed of. As a sequel, the miscellaneous applications pending, if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
