THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE U.DURGA PRASAD RAO Criminal Petition No.10338 of 2013 ORDER:

In this petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C, petitioner/A.4 seeks to quash the proceedings in Crime No.521 of 2013 on the file of S.N.Puram P.S, Vijayawada City wherein he and other accused were ascribed of committing offence under Sec.498-A IPC.

2) As can be seen from the contents of FIR, the role of petitioner/ A.4 is that he followed A.2 and A.5 to the parents of the complainant and misguided them as if A.1's family was rich and they would look after the complainant well and made the parents of the complainant agreed for the alliance with A.1 and performed the marriage. Except omnibus and general allegations, no specific allegations are made against petitioner/A.4. As such, continuation of proceedings against him would amount to abuse of process of the Court. 3) In the result, this Criminal Petition is allowed and proceedings against petitioner/A.4 in Crime No.521 of 2013 on the file of S.N.Puram P.S, Vijayawada City are quashed. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
