This criminal petition is filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C to quash the proceedings in Crime No.20 of 2012 on the file of Station House Officer, Narayanavanam Police Station, Chittoor District, for the offence punishable under Section 420 I.P.C. At the time of hearing, learned Public Prosecutor for the State of Andhra Pradesh informed this Court that the proceedings are dropped, as the matter is of civil in nature. Therefore, nothing is to be decided by this Court in this matter and the criminal petition is dismissed as infructuous. Consequently, miscellaneous applications pending if any shall also stand dismissed. No costs.
