Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Government Pleader for Revenue (Andhra Pradesh) and, with their consent, the Writ Petition is disposed of at the admission stage.
The petitioners seek a mandamus to consider their cases for assignment of house plots in Tenali Municipality under BSO (21).
Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that, in the month of October, 2016, some persons were assigned house plots within Tenali Municipality, and the authorities are contemplating to assign some more plots to the beneficiaries. He submits that the petitioners' cases may also be considered for assignment of house plots.
Learned Government Pleader for Revenue (Andhra Pradesh, submits that, if the petitioners are entitled and eligible for assignment of house plots, their request would be considered, in accordance with law.
Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the authorities concerned to consider the request of the petitioner for assignment of house plots in Tenali Municipality, in accordance with law, if they are otherwise eligible and entitled to the said benefit.
