Heard.

The petitioner complains inaction on the part of the respondents in passing Award with regard to his land which is acquired for Package No.20 of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Pranahitha Chevella Sujala Saravanthi Project. Reliance is placed upon the directions of the Government, dated 07.12.2015, Ex.P1, wherein the Special Collector, Land Acquisition, SRSP, Hyderabad, the 2nd respondent, was directed to take immediate action to pass Award and pay compensation at the earliest. Though two months have lapsed since the said order was passed, no action is taken by respondents 2 and 3. Hence, this Writ Petition. Learned Government Pleader for Land Acquisition has obtained instructions from the 2nd respondent which state that as per the instructions of the Government, dated 07.12.

2015, action is initiated to pass Award and requested four months' time for passing of the Award. It is unfortunate that in spite of the directions of the Government, dated 07.12.2015, Award has not been passed even now and further period of four months is requested. Hence, I do not see any justification for such long time as sought for by the 2nd respondent. However, it is appropriate to direct the 2nd respondent to take all necessary steps and pass Award atleast by the end of April, 2016.

With the above observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
