Syed Yousuf v. The Osmania University And 4 Others
THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTI CE T.VI NOD KUMAR WRI T PETI TI ON No.29145 of 2019 O R D E R:
The present writ petition is filed to declare the action of the 2nd respondent in issuing proceedings, dated 10.12.2019, to the extent of allowing the petitioner for re-admission into the year 2020-2021, instead of 2019-2020, as being illegal and arbitrary. 2.
It is the case of the petitioner that, the petitioner had sought admission into three year LLB course in the year 2013 and had discontinued the same in the year 2015 and has now sought re-admission after a gap of four years.
2.
Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Ch.Jagannadha Rao, learned standing counsel for the University. 4.
As per the Regulations/Guidelines in force, before seeking re-admission after discontinuance, a candidate has to clear all the backlog papers. In the present case, the petitioner has not yet cleared one paper relating to Labour Law-II. It is for the said reason, the University authorities have issued the impugned proceedings dated 10.12.2019 whereby the petitioner is permitted to clear his backlog paper in the existing syllabus, before seeking re-admission into third year V semester. 5.
Having regard to the regulations in force, this Court is of the view that no interference is called for in the present writ petition. 6.
The writ petition is without merit and is accordingly dismissed. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand dismissed. No order as to costs.
