ORDER:

This writ petition is filed for a mandamus to declare the action of the respondents in seizing 73.50 quintals of rice along with Tata Sierra bearing No.AP 27 V 3856 on 23.09.2009 as illegal and arbitrary. At the hearing, Mr.V.H.V.R.R.Swamy, learned counsel for the petitioner, submitted that on the strength of the interim order, dated 30.09.2009, in W.P.M.P.No.27467 of 2009, passed by this Court, the respondents have released the seized vehicle and have not sold the seized stock pending the proceedings under Section 6-A of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955 and that later, the said proceedings were disposed of. He has accordingly submitted that the cause in the writ petition does not survive for adjudication. In the light of the above submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner, the Writ Petition is disposed of as infructuous.

As a sequel to disposal of the writ petition, W.V.M.P.No.3040 of 2010 shall stand disposed of as infructuous.
