HON'BLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE SRI THOTTATHIL B. RADHAKRISHNAN AND HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE V. RAMASUBRAMANIAN WRIT PETITION NO.25710 of 2018 Order: (per Hon'ble Sri Justice V. Ramasubramanian) Aggrieved by the rejection of her online application for admission to medical courses in the deemed Universities, the petitioner has come up with the above Writ Petition.

Heard Sri K.V. Simhadri, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. K. Lakshman, learned Assistant Solicitor General. 3.

The attempt of the petitioner to file an online application for admission to deemed Universities in the second round of counselling, failed due to the manner in which the programme was tuned. Therefore, the petitioner came up with the above Writ Petition. 4.

The only hope of the petitioner was that the entire counselling process was put on hold by the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court and the Nagpur Bench of the Bombay High Court and that there was still some hope for the petitioner to make a fresh application. 5.

Despite the fact that the grievance of the petitioner may be justified, today we are not in a position to grant the relief that the petitioner seeks. This is for the reason that according to the learned Assistant Solicitor General, the counselling was completed and the results alone were kept pending for the outcome of the Special Leave Petition filed against the order passed by the Nagpur Bench of the Bombay High Court. It appears that yesterday, viz., 1.8.2018, the Supreme Court vacated the interim order passed by the Nagpur Bench of the Bombay High Court in S.L.P. (C) No. 20287 of 2018. Pursuant to the same, it is stated by the learned Assistant Solicitor General that results have already been declared. Therefore, the only option available to the petitioner, due to supervening events, is to apply for mop up counselling. Therefore, leaving it open for

the petitioner to apply for mop up counselling, this Writ Petition is closed without prejudice.

Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand closed. No order as to costs.
