HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A. SHANKAR NARAYANA WRIT PETITION No.35615 OF 2013 ORDER:

No representation for the petitioners. Interim direction was granted by this Court on 06-12-2013 in W.P.M.P. No.44248 of 2013, to consider the application of the writ petitioners for grant of Mineral Dealers Licenses without taking into account that Rule 9-L of the Andhra Pradesh Minor Mineral Concession Rules, 1966, has only six months period of validity.

2. Learned Government Pleader for Mines and Geology and Panchayat Raj and Rural Development would represent that the matter must have become infructuous for the reason, the said license would be valid only for six months and at the most would be up to 28-02-2014, but not beyond. It is also submitted by the learned Government Pleader for Mines and Geology that the policy then in vogue is now replaced by G.O.Ms.No.54, Industries and Commerce (Mines.I) Department, dated 21-08-2015, and he has also placed a copy of the G.O., which relates to introducing certain amendments to the Rules.

3. Be that as it may, since there is no representation on behalf of the writ petitioners, it appears that they are not evincing interest as the cause would not survive.

4. Therefore, the writ petition is dismissed as it renders infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in the writ petition, stand disposed of.
