ORDER :

Petitioner is presently working as Deputy Collector. He is Orthopedically disabled person.

Sum and substance of the grievance in the writ petition is that reservations in the promotions are not applied to Orthopedically disabled persons and on account of non-extension of said benefit, grave prejudice is caused to the petitioner. According to the petitioner, if only these benefits are extended at appropriate time, he would have reached to the level of serving in All India Service caadre. Ventilating his grievance, petitioner submitted detailed representation on 15.10.2016. Alleging inaction, this writ petition is filed. 2.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Pleaders for respondents.

Without expressing any opinion on merits, writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents to consider the application stated to have been submitted by the petitioner on 15.10.2016 and pass appropriate orders thereon duly assigning reasons in support of the decision, as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of two months from the date of receipt of copy of this order and communicate the decision to the petitioner. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
