HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAJASHEKER REDDY WRIT PETITION No.25879 OF 2018 O R D E R :

This writ petition is filed challenging the action of the respondent No.3 in issuing notice dated 10.07.2018 and 17.07.2018.

Heard Sri A.Sudershan Reddy, learned Senior Counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader for Home. Since both the counsel agreed that the parties will appear before the District Legal Services Committee, Vijayawada, as per the guidelines of the Apex Court in Rajesh Sharma v State of Uttar Pradesh [2017 (2) ALT (Crl.) 393 (SC), petitioner shall appear before the District Legal Services Committee, Vijayawada, on 02.08.2018. The respondent police shall follow the guidelines laid down by the Apex Court in the aforesaid Judgment. It goes without saying that till report is received from the said committee no arrest will be affected. If petitioner fails to appear before the District Legal Services Committee, it is open for the respondent police to proceed further, in accordance with law. Accordingly the writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.

As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in the writ petition, shall stand closed.
