Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Assistant Government Pleader for Services-I (TG). 2.

By order dated 27.11.2017 petitioner was placed under suspension with effect from 19.11.2017 by which date his arrest and detention in custody was for more than 48 hours, consequent to registering of Cr.No.90 of 2017 under Section 498-A of Indian Penal Code of Women Police Station, Warangal Urban. 3.

According to learned counsel for the petitioner there is no progress in the investigation and so far charge sheet is not filed. As the issue concerns involvement in a case under Section 498-A of Indian Penal Code, further continuation of suspension is not warranted.

Since petitioner is under suspension from 19.11.2017, and as stated by learned counsel that there is no progress in the criminal proceedings and no departmental action is initiated against the petitioner so far, the Commissioner of Police, Warangal (2nd respondent) is directed to review further continuation of suspension, having regard to the facts noted above and pass appropriate orders, as warranted by law, within a period of three

(3) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 5.
