THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE M.SATYANARAYANA MURTHY I.A.Nos.02 & 01 of 2018 IN/AND CRIMINAL PETITION NO.2889 of 2015 I.A.Nos.02 & 01 of 2018 IN/AND CRIMINAL PETITION NO.8070 of 2018 COMMON ORDER:

I.A.Nos.02 & 01 of 2018 in Crl.P.Nos.2889 of 2015 and I.A.Nos.02 & 01 of 2018 in Crl.P.No.8070 of 2018 These four Applications are filed seeking leave of this Court to compound the offences punishable under Sections 498-A IPC and Sections 3 and 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, on the ground that during pendency of this petition, due to intervention of elders, the disputes between the parties have settled and they intend to lead peaceful life in future and it is voluntary.

De facto complaint and the accused except Smt Kola Rajarathnam, W/ o late K. Lokanadha Rao, aged 75 yrs, the petitioner No.1/ Accused No.2 in Crl.P.No.2889 of 2015, who is represented through General Power of Attorney by Petitioner No.2/ A.3 are present in person and they are identified by their respective counsel and they also produced the copies of Aadhar Cards in proof of their identity. On enquiry, the parties stated that they settled the dispute outside the Court due to intervention of elders and well wishers. De facto complainant and Accused No.1 further stated that they decided to live separately by obtaining divorce from the competent Court to lead peaceful life in future. However, both the parties stated that the compromise is voluntary and the dispute is purely personal and not against the societal interest.

Accordingly, these four Applications are allowed permitting the parties to compound the said offences and to record compromise. Crl.P. NO.2889 of 2015 & Crl.P.NO.8070 of 2018 In view of the Orders passed in I.A.Nos.02 and 02 of 2018 in Crl.P.No.2889 of and I.As.No.02 and of in Crl.P.No.8070 of 2018, these two Criminal Petitions are allowed and the proceedings in C.C.No.762 of 2014 on the file of II Additional Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Madanapalli, Chittor District, are hereby quashed.

As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this case, shall stand dismissed.
