THE HON'BLE THE ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE RAMESH RANGANATHAN AND THE HON'BLE MS JUSTICE J.UMA DEVI Writ Petition (PIL).No.213 of 2017 ORDER: (Per the Hon'ble the Acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan) This writ petition, filed in public interest, questions the promotion of unofficial respondents 8 to 10 as Regional Transport Officers as being contrary to the A.P Subordinate Service Rules, 1996. We see no reason to entertain a writ petition in public interest against promotion of individual officers. Suffice it to make it clear that the order now passed by us shall not preclude the persons, who were effected by such promotions, to question the same in appropriate legal proceedings.

The Writ Petition (PIL), as filed, is dismissed. Miscellaneous Petitions pending, if any, shall also stand dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
