THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAJASHEKER REDDY WP No.25839 OF 2018 ORDER:

The petitioner is aggrieved by non-consideration of his application made vide file No.HY2071228427318, dated 31-052018 to renew his passport, particularly in spite of his explanation submitted on 14-06-2018 to the show cause notice issued to him by the 2nd respondent, as to the pendency of criminal case against him. Hence, this writ petition. 2.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Asst. Solicitor General for the respondents.

Inasmuch as the petitioner's application is pending from May, 2018 and it is stated that the petitioner has also submitted his explanation to the show cause notice issued to him by the 2nd respondent, the writ petition is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to consider the application of the petitioner made to renew his passport taking into consideration the explanation dated 14-06-2018 submitted as the pendency of criminal case against him, and take action, in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
