Heard Sri G.Gopala Krishna, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Sri Bathula Raj Kiran, learned Standing Counsel for the respondents-LIC of India.
2. This writ petition is filed seeking to declare the action of the respondents in not considering the case of the petitioner for regularisation of his services who is working as Office Boy on daily wages since 2012 onwards without any interruption as well as non-payment of the minimum wages as per the Minimum Wages Act fixed by the concerned authorities from time to time as illegal, arbitrary and in violation of Articles 14, 16 and 21 of the Constitution of India and to consequentially direct the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner and regularise his services by fixing minimum wages as per the Minimum Wages Act.
3. The petitioner was appointed as Office Boy in the respondents-Corporation in the year 2012 on daily wage basis.
The respondents-Corporation has been issuing salary vouchers by mentioning his name along with other regular employees. But, the respondents-Corporation has not considered the case of the petitioner for regularisation.
4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that though the petitioner is working continuously for
the last 3 years, the respondents-Corporation has not considered his case for regularisation and the representations dated 07-7-2015 and 24-7-2015 made by him are pending before the respondents-Corporation and so far, no orders have been passed thereon.
5. Considering the aforesaid submission, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents-Corporation to consider the representations dated 07-7-2015 and 24-7-2015 submitted by the petitioner within a period of 8 (eight) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and pass appropriate orders according to law. The miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed. No costs.
