O R D E R

This court disposed of writ petition in W.P.No.23690 of 2014 dated 21.04.2016 directing the Tahsildar, Guntur Mandal, Guntur District, to dispose of the application said to have been filed by the petitioner on 01.07.2014 for grant of pattadar pass book and title deeds in respect of subject land, in accordance with law.

Alleging that the respondent - Tahsildar, has not complied with the above order of this court, present contempt case is filed. The respondent filed counter affidavit and stated inter alia that in compliance of the order of this court, application of the petitioner was considered and rejected by endorsement dated 18.05.2017 and copy of the same was served on the petitioner through registered post. The learned counsel for the petitioner seeks time to file reply. The matter was adjourned on three occasions on 30.06.2017, 14.01.2017 and 23.01.2018 at the request of the learned counsel for the petitioner for filing reply to the counter affidavit filed by the respondent. Today, the learned counsel for the petitioner again seeks time for reply. It is be seen that in pursuance of the order passed by this court, the respondent made an endorsement dated 18.05.2017, and as such, I do not find any reason to grant further time to the petitioner to file reply.

In view of endorsement dated 18.05.2017, I do not find any contempt on the part of the respondent and the contempt case is accordingly dismissed. However, it is open for the petitioner to challenge the same in accordance with law.
