Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for respondents 1 to 3.

By the order dated 20.06.2018 the competent authority passed orders canceling the appointment of petitioner retrospectively from 07.07.2014 and striking the name of the petitioner from the rolls of Corporation. Against the said decision, appeal shall lie to the Executive Director (South), Chennai, Tamilnadu State.

When the matter is taken up for consideration learned counsel for the petitioner seeks leave of the Court to prefer appeal against the decision impugned in this writ petition. He also requests to fix some time for passing orders on the appeal, to which suggestion learned Standing counsel also fairly agree. 4.
In view of the same, liberty is granted to the petitioner to prefer appeal against the order dated 20.06.2018. As and when the appeal is received and is within the time granted, the appellate authority shall consider the same on due consideration of the contentions urged and shall pass appropriate orders as warranted by law by assigning due reasons in support of the decision, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of two (2) months from the date of receipt of appeal preferred by the petitioner.
