HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO WRIT PETITION No.6355 of 2016 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed by the petitioner under Article 226 of the Constitution of India challenging the action of the respondents in opening the rowdy sheet against him.

Heard and perused the material available on record. 3.

It is stated in the affidavit that his father consumes liquor, and earlier, on two occasions, he came to the house in a drunken condition and quarrelled with the petitioner and his brother. Further, the father of the petitioner lodged complaints against the petitioner and his brother, basing on which, on two occasions, the police registered cases against the petitioner and his brother, and those cases were settled before Lok Adalat and subsequently, no quarrel took place between the petitioner and his father. But the 4th respondent opened rowdy sheet against the petitioner and he is calling him to the police station frequently. The petitioner made a representation to the 2nd respondent regarding the threatening calls and harassment of the 4th respondent. But his representation has not been considered so far.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is inclined to pass the following order:

"The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the 2nd respondent. On such representation being made, the 2nd respondent is directed to dispose of the same in accordance with law. Till disposal of such representation, the petitioner shall not be called to the police station continuously. The petitioner is

directed to appear before the 4th respondent on the first Monday of every Month at 10 a.m."

With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed. ________________ RAJA ELANGO, J Date: 30th December, 2016 Nn
