Bandarupalli Atchuta Ramayya v. The District Collector-Cum-District Electoral

HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAJASHEKER REDDY WRIT PETITION No.22432 OF 2009 ORDER:

This petition is filed for a writ of Certiorari calling for the records relating to the order dated 01.10.2009 passed in Election OP No.4 of 2006 on the file of the Election Tribunal-cum-Principal Junior Civil Judge, Sattenapalli, Guntur District and to set aside the same.

The term of the post for which the elections were conducted was for a period of five years and the elections were conducted in the year 2006. By afflux of time the term of the 7th respondent was also expired. In view of the same, the cause in the writ petition does not survive for adjudication.

Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No order as to costs.

As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any pending in the writ petition, shall stand closed.
