HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A. RAMALINGESWARA RAO WRIT PETITION No.21057 of 2015 ORDER:

Heard the learned counsel for petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel for respondents.

2. The petitioner is an authorized licensee of Telangana State Road Transport Corporation for running dormitory in Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station, Hyderabad. A deed of license was entered and the license period expired by 21.05.2015. Thereafter, extension was granted on 21.05.2015 itself by the second respondent extending the period of license from 22.05.2015 to 21.08.2015 or till the allotment is made through tenders whichever is earlier. It is an admitted case that tenders were called for several items including the dormitory and the petitioner submitted applications on 22.03.2015 and 18.05.2015 seeking extension of license period on enhanced rates. Now the present Writ Petition is filed apprehending finalization of tenders without considering the applications of the petitioner for extension of license.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner did not receive any communication on the representations filed by the petitioner. However, the learned Standing Counsel for the respondents submits that after considering the representations of the petitioner only extension of license period was granted temporarily. But the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that those representations were addressed for renewal of license on higher license fee for a period of 10 years and they were not considered.

In the circumstances, this Writ Petition is disposed of

directing the respondents to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 22.03.2015 and 18.05.2015 for renewal of license which is going to expire on 21.08.2015 or till the finalization of tenders for dormitory on enhanced license fee within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Till then, the tenders, if any, received for "dormitory" shall not be finalized. No order as to costs. Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
