This Writ Petition is filed to declare the nomination/appointment of the first respondent to the post of Mayor of Hyderabad City as illegal and arbitrary.

Since the term of office of the first respondent has already expired, nothing survives for adjudication in the Writ Petition and the matter has become infructuous.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs.

As a sequel thereto, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
