The grievance of the petitioner is that the respondent-police is not registering the crime on the complaint of the petitioner dated 23-07-2018.

Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home basing on instructions submits that the petitioner sent a complaint dated 23-07-2018 through registered post to the Station House Officer (SHO), Narayanaguda Police Station. On that GD entry was made and took up for enquiry. In the said complaint, there is no mention of his address and phone number. But basing on the address on the postal cover, the respondent-police could able to secure the phone number of the petitioner and contacted him. Then the petitioner informed that he would approach the police station in a day or two, but he has not approached the police station. As such, no action could be taken.

Learned counsel for the petitioner says that the petitioner will approach the concerned SHO.

In view of the same, the writ petition is disposed of directing the concerned SHO to take action on the complaint of the petitioner in terms of guidelines laid down in the Apex Court judgment of Lalitha Kumari v. Government of Uttar Pradesh1. As a sequel to the disposal of this petition, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
