This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India aggrieved over the inaction of the respondents in re-issuing the passport of the petitioner.

Heard and perused the material available on record. 3.

It is the grievance of the petitioner that on 17.6.2016 the petitioner submitted his online application to the 1st respondent to re-issue the passport after changing the name of his mother. But his application was not considered so far.

Considering the circumstances of the case and the grievance of the petitioner, without expressing any opinion on merits, the Writ Petition is disposed of with the following direction:

"The respondents are directed to consider the application of the petitioner and dispose of the same, within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order." There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
