.. Respondents This court made the following :

- 2 - THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE P.NAVEEN RAO WRIT PETITION No.14349 OF 2017 ORDER :

Heard.

2.

Petitioner was appointed as Assistant Programme Officer under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Generation Scheme. Disciplinary action initiated against him resulted in imposing the order of punishment of fine of Rs.5000/-, on the ground that disciplinary proceedings which are pending, ultimately resulted in imposing punishment and the contract was not renewed. The Commissioner is the competent authority for renewal of contract. The District Rural Development Officer (DRDO) vide his letter dated 01.02.2017 sent proposals to the Special Commissioner, to issue orders for renewal of contract. 3.

A reading of the letter would disclose that the DRDO is satisfied that the petitioner is entitled for renewal. Alleging inaction on the part of the Special Commissioner in taking a decision, this writ petition is filed.

4.

Since the proposals are already submitted by the DRDO which are pending, the writ petition is disposed of, directing the Commissioner/Director, Rural Development Department, Hyderabad (2nd respondent), to examine the proposal sent by DRDO, take a decision and communicate the same to the DRDO, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four (4) months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.

- 3 - Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
