HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO WRIT PETITION No.37740 of 2016 ORDER:

The present writ petition is filed by the petitioner seeking to declare the inaction of the respondents 1 to 4 in granting police protection to the petitioner and his family members by considering representation, dated 29.08.2016, to safeguard his life due to severe life threat from the respondents 5 and 6 and consequently, direct the respondents to give police protection to the petitioner. Heard and perused the material available on record. The grievance of the petitioner is that he filed representation, dated 29.08.2016, before the Circle Inspector, I-Town Police Station, Anantapur - 3rd respondent, to provide police protection to himself and his family members since the respondents 5 and 6 along with some rowdy elements, are trying to restrain them from entering into their own land, but the 3rd respondent has not passed any orders on the representation made by him.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also the grievance of the petitioner, the 3rd respondent is directed to consider the representation, dated 29.08.2016, made by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No order as to costs. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
