This writ petition is filed challenging the action of the respondents in not registering the report of the petitioner dated 23.04.2018 as 'FIR'.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.

Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home produced written instructions stating that the after enquiring into the complaint made by the petitioner, the respondent police have informed the petitioner that no case is made out. Learned counsel for the petitioner also does not dispute the same, but, states that only after filing the present writ petition they have sent the said communication.

Recording the same, the writ petition is disposed of granting liberty to the petitioner to avail alternate remedy as may be available to him under law. No order as to costs. As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in the writ petition, shall stand closed.
