THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO WRIT PETITION No.32215 of 2016 ORDER:

This writ petition under Article 226 of Constitution of India is filed seeking a direction to the 4th respondent to proceed with the investigation in Crime No.507 of 2016 and take action against the accused therein.

The grievance of the petitioner is that she lodged a complaint with the 4th respondent on 31.5.2016 against her husband and his family members who are respondents 5 to 9 herein and basing on her complaint, the 4th respondent registered a case in Crime No.507 of 2016 for the offences under Sections 498-A, 406 and 506 IPC and Sections 4 & 6 of Dowry Prohibition Act, but, so far no steps have been taken. Considering the grievance of the petitioner, the 4th respondent is directed to complete the investigation in Crime No.507 of 2016 as expeditiously as possible and file a final report, if any, either way in accordance with law.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Pending Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, shall stand closed. _________________ RAJA ELANGO,J 18.10.2016.
